TerraCorps Members in Need!

TerraCorps partners with a network of 40+ nonprofits in Massachusetts and Rhode Island focused on community needs related to local land conservation, sustainable farming, and local food systems. This year, 43 TerraCorps members are serving in one of five coordinator roles focused on Land Conservation, Land Stewardship, Sustainable Agriculture, Community Engagement, and Youth Education.
Service members are paired with a partner site supervisor who provides them guidance and mentorship while they learn to manage community programs and projects over an 11-month, 1,700-hour service term. This year’s service term was funded by Congress to run from August 26, 2024, through July 25, 2025, before those funds were abruptly terminated.
Contributions to this TerraCorps emergency fund will initially provide financial assistance to members as they determine their next steps. Making your gift a recurring donation will provide future support to address unexpected emergencies.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your donation to TerraCorps is fully tax deductible as a charitable contribution as allowable under current tax laws.
Like pollinators in your garden, TerraCorps members have been quietly supporting your community since 2010. Now is your chance to support them in their time of need.

Our Partnership with AmeriCorps
TerraCorps is a grant-funded program contingent upon renewal of federal funding from AmeriCorps. Grants to AmeriCorps programs are administered at the state level by the organizations below:
AmeriCorps
AmeriCorps, the federal agency for national service and volunteering, provides opportunities for Americans to serve their country domestically, address the nation’s most pressing challenges, improve lives and communities, and strengthen civic engagement. Each year, the agency places more than 200,000 AmeriCorps members and AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers in intensive service roles; and empowers millions more to serve as long-term, short-term, or one-time volunteers.
The Massachusetts Service Alliance
The Massachusetts Service Alliance (MSA) is a private, nonprofit organization that expands volunteerism and service in Massachusetts. MSA provides funding, training, and support to individuals and organizations, enabling them to tackle pressing issues, strengthen communities, and make our Commonwealth a better place to live.
ServeRI
ServeRI, Rhode Island’s Commission for National and Community Service, creates opportunities through AmeriCorps and volunteer programs for individuals of all ages, experiences, and abilities to develop their civic leadership and future careers. ServeRI helps Rhode Island communities build capacity to address unmet needs while placing hundreds of adults each year into paid AmeriCorps service positions where they learn valuable work skills, earn money for education, and make an immediate impact.
