TerraCorps members help protect and steward land for a broad diversity of community needs across rural, suburban and urban landscapes. As a member, you will serve directly with a community-based organization to support the healthy growth of their communities and environments while building your own professional network and skillset.

Benefits of Service for the 2024/25 Service Year

Our service member positions run annually from August through July. Service members in 2024/25 will receive:

  • A biweekly living allowance, before taxes, that amounts to $27,000 for the full service term.
  • A $7,395.00 AmeriCorps Segal Education Award upon satisfactory completion of the service term.
  • Health insurance coverage (if eligible).
  • Childcare benefits (if eligible).
  • Forbearance of most federally guaranteed student loans, and payment of interest accrued during service.
  • Qualified eligibility for SNAP benefits in Rhode Island and SNAP/HIP benefits in Massachusetts.
  • Mentorship, training, and career development opportunities while serving directly with community-based nonprofits.
  • The personal rewards of national service and community engagement.
