TerraCorps members work to protect and steward land for a broad diversity of community needs across rural, suburban and urban landscapes. As a Member, you will work directly with a community-based organization to support the healthy growth of their communities and environments while building your own professional network and skillset.

Benefits of Service for the 2023/24 Service Year

Our 1,200-hour service member positions run December 11, 2023, to July 26, 2024. Service members will receive:

  • A $1,066.68 biweekly living allowance, before taxes, which amounts to $18,133.56 for the full service term.
  • A $4,826.50 AmeriCorps Segal Education Award upon satisfactory completion of the service term.
  • Health insurance coverage (if eligible).
  • Child care benefits (if eligible).
  • Forbearance of most federally-guaranteed student loans, and payment of interest accrued during service.
  • Qualified eligibility for SNAP benefits in Rhode Island and SNAP/HIP benefits in Massachusetts.
  • Mentorship, training, and career development opportunities while serving directly with community-based nonprofits.
