Apply to Serve with TerraCorps

The TerraCorps program is less than a year, but lasts a lifetime.

TerraCorps members help local nonprofits conserve and use land resources for a broad spectrum of community needs spanning the rural to urban landscape gradient. As a member, you will serve directly with a community-based organization to support the healthy growth of their communities while building your own professional network and skillset.

Our service member positions run annually from August through July. Service members in 2025-26 will receive:

• A biweekly living allowance, before taxes, that amounts to $27,666 for the full service term.
• A $7,395 AmeriCorps Segal Education Award upon satisfactory completion of the service term.
• Health insurance coverage (if eligible).
• Childcare benefits (if eligible).
• Forbearance of most federally guaranteed student loans, and payment of interest accrued during service.
• Qualified eligibility for SNAP benefits in Rhode Island and SNAP/HIP benefits in Massachusetts.
• Mentorship, training, and career development opportunities while serving directly with community-based nonprofits.
• The personal rewards of national service and community engagement.
• Lifelong connections to a growing network of people and organizations.
