LSC with Audubon Society of Rhode Island
Originally from Franklin, MA, Mike has helped protect and steward natural areas across New England, from the spruce-fir forests in Vermont to the sandy beaches of Cape Cod. He graduated from the University of Vermont in 2019, where he studied Environmental Studies and Wildlife Biology, a path which allowed him to delve into the worlds of ecology, land conservation, and community engagement and education. As an avid birder and student of natural history, Mike can be found chasing rare birds or submitting observations of flora and fauna to iNaturalist. He is a returning TerraCorps Member, previously serving as the Land Stewardship Coordinator with the Wareham Land Trust. As the first Land Stewardship Coordinator at the Audubon Society of Rhode Island, Mike is excited to explore Rhode Island’s landscapes, expand volunteer participation in land protection, and build his list of birds observed in the smallest state in the country.
