Jules White

YEC with Grow Food Northampton

Jules grew up on the shores of Lake Michigan, in Evanston, IL, but spent the past four years along the Connecticut River, as a student at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT. While there, they joined the Long Lane Farming Collective, a group of students growing organic vegetables for the Middletown and Wesleyan community. They have also farmed on the opposite coast, at Urban Adamah, a Jewish community center in Berkeley, CA. In their free time, they like to bike around and take stock of the wildlife around them, identifying a wild edible plant or two if they’re lucky. They are thrilled to bring their enthusiasm for green spaces, and the food that can come from them, to Northampton, MA, and can not wait to share their excitement with young people and community volunteers.
