Josh was elected to his first term on the TerraCorps Board at the August 2020 annual meeting. He is a TerraCorps alum having served at Franklin Land Trust as a Land Stewardship Coordinator in 2012/2013. Josh is an educator and PhD candidate at the University of Vermont where he uses interdisciplinary methods centered on social citizen science, storytelling, and community engagement to understand how people value wildlife and natural resources. He is especially interested in how those values are incorporated (or, not incorporated!) into policy. Josh is driven to lead projects that return concrete benefits to stakeholders outside of academia, including students, natural resource managers, and policymakers. Alongside his research and teaching, Josh consults for land conservancies and freelances as an environmental writer.
