Jamie Semel

CEC/YEC with Boston Nature Center

Jamie Semel is an educator and theater artist thrilled to serve as the Community Engagement and Youth Education Coordinator at the Boston Nature Center for the 2020-2021 service year.

She studied Theater Arts and Environmental Studies at Brandeis University and is interested in pursuing the intersections between the two fields through teaching. She has previously been a Teacher Naturalist at the Boston Nature Center, an Environmental Educator at the Maria Mitchell Association on Nantucket, and worked with the Forest Gnomes preschool program at the Natick Community Organic Farm. She is also a theater artist and had the pleasure of touring with New Rep’s Classic Repertory Company last year and is a frequent collaborator with the Boston fringe theater company imaginary beasts. She is passionate about accessible outdoor education for all and is so excited for this opportunity!
