Elsa grew up around Charleston, SC and spent much of her youth outside, exploring and looking for critters. Her love of nature lead her to a high school internship at a birds of prey center and then onto Warren Wilson College to pursue a degree in Environmental Studies. While at WWC, Elsa spent much of her time trail-running, river-swimming, and learning about the ecology of the Southern Appalachian Mountains. In her free time, she can often be spotted at a farmers market, painting birds, or buried in a good book.
