SAC with Gardening the Community
Carly is a TerraCorps member completing her service year as a Sustainable Agriculture Coordinator for Gardening the Community in Springfield, Massachusetts. In college, Carly studied Civil and Environmental Engineering with a minor in Food Systems. Her time working on multiple farms over the past five years has taught her the empowering nature of building community with neighbors, grassroots organizations, and volunteers to address food insecurity perpetuated by structural and historical disparities around power. She is looking forward to learning more from and advancing this work through her time with Gardening the Community. Outside of work, Carly loves cooking with friends, playing the ukulele, and reading under trees.
