RCC with Southeastern Massachusetts Pine Barrens Alliance
Anna is excited to serve as the Regional Collaboration Coordinator at the Southeastern Massachusetts Pine Barrens Alliance (SEMPBA) for the 2020-2021 service year! She was raised in North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019 with her B.S. in Biology with Chemistry and Hispanic Studies minors. She is interested in biodiversity, biotic interactions, and understanding the impacts of climate change on ecosystems. Since graduation, she has worked for a lab at UNC in the Galápagos Islands and in NC studying the algal flora of the Galápagos archipelago. She is excited to explore New England, learn about new (to her) and unique ecosystems, and help preserve Massachusetts’ Coastal Pine Barrens. At SEMPBA, she is especially excited to develop and implement citizen science projects and perform biodiversity analyses. In her free time, she loves to hike, run, read, and make music!
